Dequan Copeland is a New York City musician, producer, and creative director whose passion for music began at just two years old. Raised in the rich tradition of the Black church, he developed a deep musical foundation and became a multi-instrumentalist, mastering bass guitar, drums, piano, guitar, percussion, and more.

Dequan has performed throughout the United States and internationally, including Lagos, Nigeria, and Saint Lucia. His career has led to collaborations with celebrated artists such as Twinkie and Dorinda Clark, Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Winans, Amanda Barise, Greg Banks, Haein Kim, Mike Mininille, Charles Perry, Jamel Richards, Kayla Harvey, Stanley Brown, and the International Youth Choir of C.O.G.I.C.
As the founder of Family Jam NYC, Dequan curates unforgettable live music experiences that bring people together through exceptional musicianship and authentic artistry. He is currently producing the highly anticipated Family Jam album, composing every song from the ground up alongside an outstanding collective of artists and musicians.
